Harley Quinn is serving time in Belle Reve, stuck in the middle of violent prison chaos. After a brutal arm-wrestling brawl breaks out, Warden and Amanda Waller decide she’s served enough time. Harley is unexpectedly released—only to immediately walk into a world-ending crisis.

The Threat
A massive space elevator—used for orbital fuel transport—is under terrorist attack by a cult-like group of "Flat Earthers" who believe the elevator proves Earth is round and that alien plant-life has taken over the space station. Their plan: cut the cable and bring down the station, risking thousands of lives. A nuclear device is already mounted at the base.

Meanwhile, the President is distracted by unregulated supplements, the media is swirling with conspiracy theories, and Waller activates Task Force Y—another expendable Suicide Squad unit made of metahumans and criminals.

The Squad
Waller wants Harley back on duty. Harley refuses—until the situation escalates.

Among the assets Waller considers:

  • Poison Ivy (Pamela Isley) – currently entangled with the Flat Earthers but secretly cooperating.
  • Selina Kyle (Catwoman) – infiltrating the elevator as Waller’s informant.
  • Killer Croc – out sick with COVID.
  • Others consist of unstable or unreliable metahumans.

Harley pushes to get Ivy on her team.

Inside the Elevator
Catwoman and Harley infiltrate the mid-station level disguised as circus performers. Harley, armed with saws, cleavers, and chaotic energy, stages a violent stage act that doubles as a distraction. Ivy resists the Flat Earthers’ fanaticism and tries to redirect the crisis but the cult starts attacking the cable with acid.

Batman’s Involvement
Bruce Wayne, watching the crisis unfold, launches a lightweight, glider-style Batplane from a hidden mountainside hangar. Alfred assists remotely. Bruce is deeply suspicious of Luthor’s role as LexCorp aggressively markets the elevator as a political tool for a future presidential run.

Lex Luthor Subplot
LexCorp scientists—including Jervis Tetch (Mad Hatter)—research the Joker Toxin and Kryptonian vulnerabilities. Luthor positions himself as the future savior of American aerospace while manipulating the crisis for political gain.
